Verified checks that the video comes from a direct camera (video straight from the webcam), not from camera software (apps that can play a recording or another face into the call).
Face swaps and avatars
Catch swapped faces sent through camera software.
A swapped face or an AI avatar is often sent into a call through camera software, and Verified flags that. Verified can also keep checking that the face in the call is the face on the person's own camera.

Fair to everyone on the call

We never join your call.
No bot in the participant list. Verified checks from outside the call, before it starts and while it runs.

Fair to the person being checked.
Checked fresh on each call, nothing carried over. The wording never accuses anyone. A person can decline the check and still join with the host's link; the host sees that they declined.

Deleted after about 7 days.
Call results and voice data are deleted about 7 days after the last activity. Server logs are deleted within 30 days. Details are in the privacy policy.

Works with Google Meet, with the camera the person already has.

The person on the call gets the Verified app when they are invited. The app runs on a newer Mac (M1 and later) or a Windows PC.
How we test
The face and voice numbers come from recordings our team never saw while building. The rest come from our own testing and live calls.
What counts as a pass is written down before we test. Raw counts sit beside every number.
